I got one on boxing day, it broke yesterday - I turned it on, made some cracking noises and sure enough, I looked in the coffee power dispensing tray and a part was broken among other things falling out of place in the coffee compacter area as well. Took it back to the store and they are now ordering me in one from another store because of no stock. I know the CGA provides many year warranties but this time I couldn't be bothered with arguing with them with an almost guaranteed fault within the next few years so for the ease of not having to argue the CGA to a store person in the future I added two more years extended warranty to make it a total of three years for another $40.

Wonder what would have happened if they had sold out and couldn't source a replacement, as I can't see them repairing them due to cost. I wonder if they would have refunded the extended warranty, as you had only had it a few days, and would have been covered by the manufacturers warranty, the CGA. I believe the extended warranty only kicks in after the 1 year manufacturers warranty runs out anyway, from my experience.

Interesting I noticed on their website that they were advertising these as 'half price' which would have made their normal price around 700-800. Yet the white sticker price instore was over 2k, which is essentially showing customers who were buying instore that it was previously selling over 2k, down to $350ish.

Yes I've always wondered which way the law goes on this one.
As someone said before, it was released at $2300, but over the year(s?) it gradually came down in RRP, and I think it sells for around GBP300-400, which is about $700-800NZD? ... which makes sense.
Who would sell a $2300 for $355 and still have more stock sitting around!

^Not too shabby for the price. It has all the latest components in terms of CPU and video card. You may want to check if it has a touchscreen - I sense not. It may not bother you though.

"1TB RAM"? Not for a few more years...

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

If you want to do any gaming then 940M is too weak.
I myself are looking for a laptop with Nvidia 960M or better.

Dunnersfella: Spotify Premium will be the future for you sadly... pretty much everyone will go that way in their wireless multi-room setups. I forget the reason behind it, but effectively, Spotify are becoming so dominant in the market they can almost demand it.

Pretty sure chromecast doesn't have this restriction either. Was looking at their new audio only chromecast unit and feel that and my old crappy kitchen stereo would be a better results than the M7

The best part about fully integrated speakers like the M7is that the volume control is controllable from another device. If you've got a Chromecast audio device there are two factors of audio volume which means you need to leave the physical speakers always turned up, and then control the volume of the Chromecast...which is not super great. I had to upgrade to premium to take advantage of my M5, where as I have a HP Stream 7 tablet I use to output to Logitech speakers that will do Spotify connect without premium...Windows devices don't require premium for remote control.

I think best option is integrated speaker, second best would be Chromecast (but its a lot less sleak of a solution, two power plugs required, leaving volume high, more power usage)
