Yeah, but what's your annual registration renewal fee ( inc TAC), :)

Motorbike is only $481.90 but the car is $757.70 :(

I noticed when I was in the North Island last week that many many places were all over the show with prices, unlike Dunedin and surrounding that all have the same prices no matter what - i.e. no competition.

Compared to at least 10c per litre cheaper in Palmerston North (and up to 15c). A day later though in New Plymouth all pricing at all locations was the same (and the same price as Dunedin)

timbosan: Gull and Z in Takanini has 91 for 182.9

Gull have their 98 for under $2 now.

Holy Crap batman! I get about 10% worse economy on Gull's 98 but that is a great saving!

Hopefully the BP at Takanini is also discounting 98 as my car was specifically tuned to that not the 10% ethanol crap.

I recently have up on BP as their pricing was so out of touch with everyone else.  I use either Mobile 98 or Gull 98.

Out of interest, what car do you have? I am curious as to why you think it is crap.  My car (MKIV Golf R32) is fine on E10 fuel.

I have a LS1 Commodore, but it has been heavily modified and tuned specifically with 98

Bl**dy h*ll.

Remember that here in good old NZ the ACC levy on car rego comes down in July next year.  It's not pro-rated though so any annual renewals between now and then still show the full old amount of (I think it is) $280 odd for a car for a full 12months.  You can save money (not a huge amount but I'd rather spend it on beer than give it to a government agency) by only relicencing through until July next year.  This means of course that you next renewal comes around sooner, but it will be at the cheaper rate.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I avoid BP due to the price of 98.

Some people claim that the car will drive further per litre of 98 over lesser octanes.

But, this extra mileage is unquantified while the price is absolute.   And, at the currect price differential it is impossible to claim 98 is better value.

So is Caltex further up near Mahia Road. They also have an 8c discount on the AA smart fuel card. Filled up at $1.749/L this morning. It was so nice haha.

Now the price of petrol has come down, there are a heck more cars on the road in peak times ?

Traffic congestion, especially on Auckland North Shore motorway has been horrendous since Labour day, and judging by the NZTA Traffic congestion maps, it isn't that much better on the other motorway routes either.

Before they got totally insane with the 98 pricing it was worthwhile in the old skyline to put 98 in since it had a baby 2 litre in it. But the falcon has no difference that I can tell on 98 so it is a waste. That means no BP for me as the nearby ones only do 91 and 98.
