Just filled up at Mobil and price has changed to $2.01 per l.

Not sure how long this is going for or if any other Mobil stations are participating.

It seems all Mobil sites around Wellington have cut their prices. In the Hutt they're 202.9 vs 213.9 at all the other chains. I've driven past Mobile High St twice now and seen no cars there, it's funny how people are like sheep and don't actually look at prices.

Is there a petrol prices comparison website? The stations have to cut their prices by more than the value of any vouchers people have.

Someone would need to update hourly and by region, town/city and suburb !  Prices at the pump differ in every town of NZ depending on distance from the bulk terminals and competition.

The closest I've found is PriceWatch which is pretty good, but only updated every day or two, and only based on Cardlink transactions.

you would think this is the case but then why is Rotorua 10-15 cents a litre cheaper than Tauranga, when the refining plant is at the Mount.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Haven't paid more than 2 bucks a litre for 91 petrol for a long time. Suggest looking for fuel pumps located near universities as they are usually discounted more than other pumps.

I have found that BP are the worst by a long shot for their 98 pricing - 2 days ago I went to the one in Henderson (West Auckland has some of the cheapest prices around) and it was 2.28.  I went to Mobile on Lincoln Road and it was 2.16.  Then I went to Gull and it was 2.09.  Massive difference and I cannot see how they justify such a huge difference between their 91 and 98 prices.

I've found Tauranga Gull and Mobil to be cheaper than all the Rotorua servos in recent months...

Dunedin - 91 $2.139
Every where is the same price, no discounts at all down in this part of the country.

CHCH too. However as I pointed out in the other ongoing gas price thread already, Mobil have a current 10c off unadvertised special

I got a drink from one and noticed yesterday, he said it was going all thurs at least, but maybe longer
