Well you like steak, and I could give you a method for cooking steak that is so simple and yet so awesome, you'd be blown away I am sure.

I have george forman for steak. He does a good job on it if I remember to get it out of the fridge before I am hungry so it warms up.

/me turns green

Good call on the getting it to room temp, and regardless of how you cook it, make sure you rest it for 5 minutes after it cooks, ideally with a small amount of tin foil over it like a tent to keep it warm. If you cut your steak and it bleeds over your plate, it wasn't rested properly.

richms: Seldom see deals like steak come up on them. They are usually for the tedious multiple course places where you are sitting around for ages waiting on more weird food to come out, which is usually IME pretty gross with things that are like slime and stuff on them.

GrabOne has a Lone Star voucher today. May be of interest to you and your tastebuds.

Sold out :(

Problem with deals like that is also trying to arrange a group of people to go. Everyone is so busy now that finding a common day is very hard,.

I have been subscribed to Treatme/Grabone and a couple of other sites for quite a while now, and on the whole we go for the dining experiences as we love eating out.
I would say that on the whole we have had mainly good experiences with the odd " i would not go back there"

A lot of start up restaurants use them and they are out to impresses as they want repeat business.
It also helps if you do some research before you dive in with your credit card, check out reviews, or even look at there web site and the food on offer.

Anyway I am a fan of the one day deal and think they give good value.
