Dynamic:mattwnz: Has anyone got one of these setup yet? I got one for my parents, and it has two major problems. One is that when you switch it on in the AUX mode for listening to the TV, and it will eject the disk tray. The other problem is that after 20 minutes of watching tv though it, the amp/bluray unit switches itself off.
Will try mine this weekend. I have an optical cable coming by courier.mattwnz: To select between the different fuctions is also a pita. Switching back to AUX, from DVD playback is a mission, as you have to keep pressing the selector button, and it is very laggy with the switching, and often it will go into the radio setting. Panasonic hasn't invested much in their usability.
I have to somewhat agree with this. Using the Selector button is very laggy and there are too many options to scroll through. There is a better (but definitely not obvious) method, however (if you have the TV on). Hit the HOME button, and then hit the OPTION button to see the list of inputs (Bluetooth, Radio, etc). I've put a tiny label on the top of ours on how to switch to Radio when the TV is not on to display the menus (HOME, OPTION, DOWN, OK), as we are using this device as our living room radio.
Thanks for the tip, yes that is a lot easier to change mode.
I unplugged my unit to move it to a LAN connection, to install a firmware update, and when replugging it in, it has stopped ejecting when powering it on. Although it still makes sounds like it is checking the disk. I will have to keep an eye on whetehr the eject problem reoccurs. It wasn't the firmware that fixed it though, as it stopped doing it before I installed it. I am using mine at the moment with just a normal analogue inputs on the AUX, and not an optical cable, as I am also waiting for one to be delivered. But I don't think it has anything to do with that, as the instructions say you can use either. May have just been a glitch. The display sometimes does display totally random shapes which is a bit of a concern, so I think it could just be a faulty unit, time will tell. The sound quality of the speakers though on DVDs is pretty impressive with good bass, especially for the price.
