Just following up on my bad experience with ordering a Wharfedale Soundbar online last Thursday and being told it the same evening that it was ready to collect from Wairau Park, only to find there was nothing there for me on Saturday.

I'd also ordered a second one for a friend later that evening and today got the email to say it was there, ready to collect. Guess what? Lightning struck again and neither of them were there for me to collect.  The store manager had been following these up from Saturday, and I'd gained assurances from their support line to say they were on their way yesterday, but the cupboard was bare... yet again. I sort of expected things to turn to custard and sure enough they did.

Thankfully the store manager stole two other peoples orders and I was good to go, but I guess this story will repeat itself when the next two people go in to collect.  I can't help thinking my goods had been sold to someone else. Oh, and no tax invoices supplied so I'll have to follow them up on this.

Noel Leeming's online "click & collect"  seems to be seriously broken. At least they now don't charge you $6 to collect like they did. The goods may even be there when you're told they are, and then maybe not... At least my 5TB HDD turned up by courier today OK.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

Well that one could be just one inwards goods person on one shift in one store doing the exact wrong thing.

You have to ask the rep to print the invoice that's just how it works. Since you have to sign something for pickup you are at the counter anyway.

You do sign for it, but you aren't signing an invoice as you don't get it. It is for their records. I asked the store for the invoice, and they said it would be emailed by the online store, which it isn't. You have to email them to request it. What is odd isn't here is an admin section of their website which will normally allow you to see past orders and download copies of invoices. But that doesn't surprise me as their website isn't food since they meld to a response a responsive design, and the site search is also poor I have found.

Picked up a Canon lens in the sale. $356 for a 10-18mm wide angle was an absolute bargain.

Only if you remember at the time you pick it up. I noticed that the invoice says 'copy' even though an original was never generated.
