I grabbed one of these yesterday at $249 USD.  I sent it to youshop (free delivery inside the US) so should be able to land it under $400 which is a great deal for the 32GB model compared to $760NZD in the NZ Google play store.

You might still get hit because you need to include the shipping from youshop, if that is under 30 you might be ok.

what do you have on your phone that takes up a tonne of space?

A large number of flac music files.

Can't live without my music and can't live with crappy quality music.

One of the few that can tell the difference between flac and 320k mp3, eh?

Some people can hear what I guess are compression artefacts. For me, some music when compressed with MP3 has a wishy-washy sound on high frequencies, especially noticeable in the drum cymbals/hi-hat. I have a head unit in my car that plays Pandora off my phone and maybe half the music is acceptable (often depending on the type of music) but sometimes I wish I had a better quality version kept on my phone.

Dunno - but if I'm ripping my music collection I'm ripping in the best quality available to me and I don't want to have both flac and mp3 files siting on my server.

And when I can chuck a 128GB card in my phone I'm golden for music and video.

Sitting 2 days with customs and labeling in Kentucky so far. Not too bothered if I get hit with fees at the border, but will update either way.

I've been spoiled by Amazon lately so I'm not used to waiting over a week before a parcel leaves country of origin.

Mine is also sitting with ebay global shipping people, i am not expecting fees as the ebay shipping program should cover them (as it says it will).

Got a local tracking number about 36 hours ago, stuck at 'online manifest' stage.
