Fred99: Not particularly geeky, but Countdown supermarkets seem to be quitting out of "Maxwell and Williams" branded pans in a clearance sale. Example is a 32cm frypan, ceramic non-stick coated (ie - not PTFE, but similar to non-stick Scanpan and other "stoneware" sold at high prices). Original retail - about $80, on sale for $40, $10 additional discount with "onecard".
They seem to be quite good quality, solid feel, enamelled underside, ferric insert for induction hobs, claimed "10 year" warranty on the non-stick surface.
I bought one - because at that price it was worth a chance. So far, it's excellent. The non-stick performance is better than the Scanpans I have (some >$300 retail) even when they were new.
Cheers, I've been after a cheap, non stick induction pan for a couple weeks!

Oops my mistake - maker's brand is "Mayfair & Jackson" - not Maxwell and Williams. I'm not good with Chinese names.
