steve98: Just signed up for a year using the discount code, worked out as NZ$3.10 per month - bargain. So excited to have Sky News live stream :p

RXV:
freitasm: I don't usually promote discounts but when I do it's a good one...

Unotelly started running some ads on Geekzone (have you noticed?)... And they have a discount code in the ads:

So there is that...

Great, thanks for sharing this - I have just renewed my subscription again, this time for 12 months.

I have been using UnoTelly since December and the service so far has been really reliable.

Thanks Steve and RXV for your support! Please let us know if there is any improvement you'd like us to make!

Is this promo still running? I am thinking of hooking up my father in law for Netflix on his FireTV.

This is running while the ads are up in this forum - at least until the 15th June.

I've subscribed for a year using the discount code. Very happy to finally hook myself on to the phenomenon that is Netflix. Everything is working well IMO.

Signed up for the trial yesterday. I just got an Amazon fire tv box - so trying it out.

I set up the Dns server for nz and one in Australia.
The router wanted 2 Dns servers and the unotelly map only shows 1 nz server.
I assume its ok to add an aussie one as well?

Hi Robjg63,

The most important one is setting the primary DNS. For secondary DNS, you can use one of our Australia servers.

Technically, you won't need the secondary DNS as it is used for backup in case the primary is non-reachable.

I signed up and prepaid a year in January - think that gave me some sort of discount anyway.  have been very happy with the service - set the DNS on the router, and have Netflix, Hulu plus, Amazon instant video etc working on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Laptop, Surface RT, and Netflix Windows Media Center (Win7) :-)

Hi

I would like to get the UNOTELLY service but not sure which product to get i.e UnoDNS Gold (+Bonus VPN) or UnoDNS Premium.

The only thing UnoDNS Gold (+Bonus VPN) gives is the VPN. Is this needed to watch Netflix?

Really sorry of this is a silly question.

Hi mailmarshall,

Like Tony said, UnoDNS Gold contains the additional UnoVPN package which is handy if you travel and want to geo-unlock and/or want additional security if you use any public Wifi.

When you are using public Wifi, anyone can run traffic analysis and extract any information especially if the site you are visiting is not encrypted.

Using a VPN connection like UnoVPN while using shared wifi, you will make yourself a harder target to common hackers.

We support OpenVPN and PPTP protocol and VPN servers in US, Canada, UK, Netherlands.

Hi t0ny,

Does your Fritzbox contain DynDNS service? If yes, you can use our DynDNS feature to update your IP: http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/159913-automatic-ip-update-using-dyndns
