Satch: Has anyone done this yet and had their 50 Airpoints Dollars credited to their account?  My girlfriend and I did recently and I'm wondering how long it will take to see the Airpoints?

If it's anything like earning standard airpoitns dollar wiht OneSmart, I think they get credited monthly, probably on or around the monthly anniversay date of activation.    (It has been a while since I 've used it though, so I could be way off track.)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

The T's & C's of the offer state up to 40 days until they appear, though I've yet to spend the $300 to see how long it actually takes.

I spent $337 for a flight to Melbourne on the air nz website yesterday so see how long it takes to get the airpoints. I transferred the money via internet banking on Sunday and it showed up on OneSmart Tuesday morning. First time I have booked the flights using OneSmart too, handy tip for avoiding credit card charges. However I think POLI is probably easier.

jnimmo: I like that you can see the items on the OneSmart account immediately when spending it, unlike my bank's credit cards. Annoying waiting sometimes up to 5 days for it to show on the account.
Just a shame they make you log in with username and password each time you open the iPhone app

The Android app is even worse, I have to provide not only my password but the answer to my secret question each and every time I open the app. Very annoying.

Sure, if you don't mind giving some random company (POLi) your online banking login and access to all your bank accounts.

Thanks for this. Does anyone know if the top up has to be done before spending? In the last week, I have spent over $300 on my OneSmart card but the top up was done several months ago. If I transfer $300 onto the card now, will I still get the $50 Airports Dollars? Thanks.

Just noticed today $50 has been applied to my Airpoints balance :)

EDIT: And flights to Sydney on sale so they'll be going straight back to Air NZ

It might be annoying but it's there for very good security reasons. Without this *anybody* who had your Airpoints login could access your OneSmart. As many people give their Airpoints login to their travel agent / PA / secretary etc for flights bookings it would create unnecessary security risks. The security question is required for the mobile apps and the website for this very reason.

Just spent my $300, will get the missus to do the same.

One thing that has been bugging me is the little routine I have to do with my Onesmart card at eftpos terminals without paypass. The terminal asks swipe or insert, so I insert, then it asks to swipe, then I swipe, then it asks to insert, then I insert, then it asks to swipe, and finally lets me key my PIN in. Has anyone else had this?

Why can't we just use the password plus security question routine to set up an app PIN? It looks like that may have been the original intent, when asking for the security question it says it is to "authorise this device" - despite asking at every login.

Well certainly on iOS they should be able to provide an option to authorise with password and security questions once and use Touch ID for all remaining authentications (surely the feature will come at some stage soon)

Has anyone else been short-changed by Onesmart when converting currencies?
