I'm glad I don't run AdBlock in all of my browsers, as spotted this deal a few days ago.
Load up your OneSmart card with $300 (or slightly over to be safe!), register on the form and spend $300 by 28th Feb and get $50 free Airpoints.

I haven't been able to use it at many EFTPOS terminals, the tap and pay works but if I insert it in any of the machines it asks me to swipe (these don't have a magstrip on them do they?)

Cheers for the headsup

Found this while trying to find what fees they charge "Either insert your Airpoints card chip or swipe the magstripe, select ‘credit’, and you’re away."

I like that you can see the items on the OneSmart account immediately when spending it, unlike my bank's credit cards. Annoying waiting sometimes up to 5 days for it to show on the account.
Just a shame they make you log in with username and password each time you open the iPhone app

I don't like the Android App login either it's very poor, I have no idea why they don't just let you set a 4 or 5 digit PIN

How are the fees with OneSmart? I had a look at the terms and conditions but they're vague about a lot of the details.

No fees for topping up/spending NZD (except maybe cash withdrawals)

http://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/onesmart-fees

As far as the actual fees for foreign currency, the commission is built into their sell rates. The 3 free ATM withdrawals looks quite good (compared to Travel Card at least), think there are some other threads on here where people look into their exchange rates in more detail though.

The security question exists on the apps for both Android and iPhone and the OneSmart website. As the card is tied to an Airpoints login and many people routinely give their Airpoints login out to people such as their PA, secretary, travel agent etc for bookings, some additional security is required to ensure these people couldn't have access to your funds.

The exchange rates are below average for a travel card and are far worse than you'll get just by using most regular credit cards.

Clever. Trying to bunch us up with Twitter and *gasp* Facebook.

I'd say other. If they look at stats and see "Social media" for anything online they will have the wrong impression about their Twitter/FB accounts.
