They also have an iOS app

I have been using them for a year and find them great. The vpn is handy if you need to bypass a firewall ;)

jmh: I still can't decide. I'm hesitant because at the moment I can't use a DNS service without DDNS because I'm with Flip (changes ip every 4-5 minutes). But I can't get the DDNS to work consistently. The support has been very good. They even remote accessed my laptop to set it up for me, but it is not reliable. The vpn works great for US but was very poor for UK (streaming iplayer) and I got better speeds with the free hola app, which I would prefer not to use.

I'm changing isp to one that offers a fixed ip, so the problem should be resolved. Would like to know the vpn was up to speed (I think it's still beta).

Maybe I'm being too picky.

Yes. 23 for Netflix, 3 for Amazon Prime, 2 for Crackle, 3 for WD Live TV/Sony TV's and than there are several channel groups which you can switch (different CDN's). Sign up for a trial account. No CC required, gives you 14 days. There are certainly a lot more options than Unblock-Us.

So, is the consensus that this is actually worth the cost? I can't help but think that there has to be a catch with such a large discount... limited account? Company in trouble?

Also wondering if anyone knows what they mean by "Minor updates included"?

I see the details state new customers only, but it looks like some existing users (eg Mr Token?) have managed to successfully purchase and apply the special offer.

I know I could always set up a new account if need be, but would rather apply it to my current one if at all possible.

The DNS on its own won't work with flip (same for the other dns providers too). You need to use the ddns option and use a third party ip provider like no-ip. I managed to get it working last night by setting up the ddns on my modem. This seemed to work better than changing the settings on my laptop. The vpn should work. I just found it a bit slow for UK servers.

Worth trying the free trial.

I added to my exisisting sub , have been using Getflix for some time

I had paid for a month to try their vpn (which is not available on the free trial). Was able to upgrade to the deal.

Thanks for the posts on this. After having confirmation from other users I also bought it; I had eight months to run, which is a bit of a waste but still (assuming the company doesn't go bust) having it sorted for the next few years gives peace of mind!

The new customers only thing was under a menu heading labelled "terms" - and it was in caps: NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY

I've just checked the site and the deal's still running - apparently has six days to run, which means it must have been extended as it was supposed to close yesterday.

I've been using Getflix for about a year and I had a current subscription too when I bought the deal on stacksocial. The previous Getflix deal on stacksocial that expired a day or two ago didn't say 'NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY' as it now does. It said that if you had a current subscription you had to cancel it before using the deal. Had to cancel the subscription on Getflix before it allowed me to enter the promo code. After doing that it added my remaining subscription period + 30 years. Awesome!

Actually, the deal that expired yesterday did have this same warning, hence why I raised the question in this forum! I was viewing the site on my mobile, where it showd up under a menu heading labelled "terms", just as it does now (ie, it requires the user to click on the menu to see the content). Perhaps it wasn't so visible or obvious on a desktop brower?

Anyway, the issue is moot - while it does state (and previously stated) new customers only, it works fine for existing customers...

The Stack Social link in the first post today says ending in 6 days so looks like they have extended the offer for another week.
