Advertising grossly overpriced items on TM is not particularly new.  About 15 months ago we were looking at buying one of those small plastic ride-on cars for infants that have a hole in the bottom - move by foot power (this type of thing - https://www.trademe.co.nz/toys-models/rideon-toys/cars/listing-2327555063.htm?rsqid=52938395dd3f45eab5a2ea174db4a3f0-001).  Prices at the time ranged from ~$90 to ~$140, apart from one on TM advertised for about $1600.  Opinion at the time (ex. a bank manager) - "It is not uncommon - done for laundering money".

Some more anti-bargains for everyone to marvel over. Who are these people and why are they allowed to register domains and trade here?

https://www.ninefit.nz/

Wilson Racquet cover is widely available locally for $15

Very high-quality pair of socks - yeah right

Swim bag, perfect for Summer - about $26 from Rebel Sport

I've recently ordered something from NZSale - basic piece of clothing widely available both here and in Aus, yet it's been languishing in tracking for the last 16 working day as picked up and delivered in the graphics, but when you drill down into the tracking, it just say's "has been lodged"

If the commerce commission can't enforce trading standards on these online stores then we shouldn't enable them to trade here.
