BigHammer: My wife is also incredibly understanding. And also the one bringing home the larger chunk of bacon! Unfortunately other priorities preclude me from venturing into the high end stuff. Next purchase looks to be possibly the FiiO E18 USB DAC & AMP (or similar)

(unfortunately well aware of the headphone thread. I feel my bank balance decrease just viewing the posts!)

Yup I hear you. It's a fantastic hobby I have to say, especially if you love music the way I do. There is very little better feeling in the world than hearing a bit of music for the first time on new gear and hearing stuff in those tracks you never heard before :) Addictive.

BigHammer: Have done a fair bit of research on the MDR-1RBT MK2 also, but have been unable to source at a respectable price. (Have been made aware that they have been picked up for as little as $250ish, but no luck for me).

At $150 for a pair of the MDR-10RBT I'm happy to purchase without auditioning, based on comments in other forums. Have ordered from the local Noel Leeming store. Will still keep an eye out for the MDR-1RBT MK2s though ;-)

Thanks for the heads-up on the sale!

250ish might be t h e mk1 which you can get for as low as 200usd ish. Let me know what you think. I hope it's nice. I've only tried the expensive version.

I'm pretty happy with them. Bluetooth works great. Auto pairing with my phone with no problems. Size looks a little big on my small head. They are comfortable but not as luxurious as the more expensive model.

Amazon are doing Norton Internet security 3 PC license for $19USD (download version).

But, they don't ship to NZ (even for downloaded version!!!!!).

I wonder, if you could use the youshop address for the shipping address but the NZ address for the bill address.

Although, I'm a bit over AV software, my windows solution seems to work ok and I never open dodgy email/programs.

When I buy digital games from Amazon they require a US shipping address and it works just putting a random one in.

There's a nice deal on an i3 ultra compact PC for 260NZD shipped with UPS/DHL/FedEx on aliexpress. It's got the same processor as the previous line of i3 NUC's (i3 3217u).
Would make a great HTPC or even low powered desktop.
