There are lows of funky things that happen with the card - I've experienced a better exchange rate paying for something in a foreign currency than actually converting money to that foreign wallet to pay for something.

By the way, did anyone receive an email saying 'You're registered for 50 free Airpoints Dollars' or something on Monday? Certainly am registered - and have already been paid for it.
I thought for a few minutes maybe they were doing the promotion a second time

I got the email too and I am not getting a replacement card so it is not that.

I've registered and spent my money but have not yet got the 50 free airpoints dollars.

Yeah got the same message too despite completing the spend and getting my 50 airpoints over a month ago. I think it got accidentally mailed out to *all* people entering the promotion.

Thanks for the thread unlock - how long has it typically taken people to receive their 50 APD? They say up to 40 days I think but did anyone keep tabs on how long it took after their qualifying spend(s)?

Interesting! Just written an e-mail to Airpoints today as I did my $300 spend on 9th December and still no 50 APD! Awaiting reply. I actually bought flights from AirNZ and I wondered whether this was a problem.

I used last months promo to get 50A. I presume if I register again and spend another $300 I will get another 50A again. It seems the "cheapest" way to get the Airpoints.

I just put $300 odd on the card last time I just used the virtual card to pay an online bill and it worked fine.

I put $350 in to the account on 25/11 and probably spent it within a week.  My $50 credit was dated 19/12.

They do the same promo every month (or second month). as far as I know.

Register your account, spend $300 on your Airpoints Debit Card and get 50 Airpoints.
