I left the Manukau branch just now. No joke, there are around 500 people waiting in line to get in still.

Wellington is backed up all the way around the corner to Fifeshire Ave (observed driving past, not in the queue). No idea why someone would put up with that to save like $100?

I returned home and PB Tech carpark still packed out. Must be closer to 200 than 100 people.

Well done to PB Tech for running a great promotion, surely every retailer's dream to have people turn up like this.

Not everyone is super rich. You would have to work over 6  hours to get that  on the minimum wage.  Much better to sit on your arse for a couple of hours watching youtube.

Noel Leeming price matched Sony M3s for me via online chat. Paid $6 for delivery, but for the benefit of skipping a large queue, I can live with that.

Only if they get what they want... How many people are going to leave empty handed?

Cyber Monday prices are up - same prices as Black Friday?

I hope the PBTech website doesn't crash come Monday evening...

Yeah. Have been a regular customer of PBTech for many years. First time went to the black Friday sale. Arrived at 6pm wellington store thinking queue would be gone. How wrong. Easily over 150 people queueing. An hour in the queue and half an hour at the check out. Got some of what I wanted. The rest sold out. Perhaps Cyber Monday might be easier. Not sure if I will do it again.

Honest question, are the discounts really that good it’s worth queuing for?

If you're wanting the items highlighted in promotional material, then I'd say yes if the saving is worth your time. The discounts on other items are in line with other sales throughout the year.

For some cases. Yes. But there is no way I am going to queue from 2pm. It depends on how you value your time Vs savings. I have to say there were no bait advertising because there were quantity showing. However by time I got in at 7pm. Some items were gone.

Depends what you were after. They had plenty of genuine bargains including phones that were hundreds of dollars cheaper then elsewhere. If you wanted one then yes queuing would have been worth it.

Same here, I've been wanting to buy some stuff and have been watching prices for a while so definitely worth it.

I returned at 7:30pm and the queues were gone and I got straight to the checkout.

Got the main things I wanted, the DDR4 was sold out but I can get similarly good deals on that at Amazon so all good.
