idle: Interesting! Just written an e-mail to Airpoints today as I did my $300 spend on 9th December and still no 50 APD! Awaiting reply. I actually bought flights from AirNZ and I wondered whether this was a problem.

I did exactly the same thing. Bought flights on AirNZ that cost $360 and use the onesmart to pay. No airpoint dollar accrual. Haven't got round to investigating yet so please post up your results and I will chase it up.

LennonNZ: They do the same promo every month (or second month). as far as I know.

Register your account, spend $300 on your Airpoints Debit Card and get 50 Airpoints.

Have you actually received more than one lot of 50 Airpoints via this promo on the same card?  I would say the likelihood of this happening is ultra slim but welcome it if you have proven it.

Huh, the last time I spent over $300 on the card was at the start of Oct 2014, signed up for the promo after this, and got the A$50 at the end of Nov!
Nice :D

What a ridiculous reply from AirNZ airpoints! Given that I joined OneSmart in December and bought flights to value $326 on 9th December, it seems nonsense to suggest I wait 100+ days until early April! This is weird, if not fishy!

"Thank you for your Airpoints query.

The 50 Airpoints can take up to 40 days to show in your Airpoints account. If they have not appeared by the first week of April, please let us know.

Kind regards

Sue"

Perhaps she doesn't now how to add, or is confused by the order of months?! I'd certainly be replying to say that's not good enough - that the 40 days was up on 18 Jan, and that you expect it to be sorted promptly. Not promising service...

Further to another request for some sense, got this reply this morning

"Thank you for your reply.

I do apologise for my error. I had not realised that the 40 days period was from the date of spending.

The Loyalty team have checked this for you and they advise that your bonus should be in the next accrual run. Please let me know if this does not show in your account by Monday.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct this."

I thought she had her facts wrong, and got confused. However, an apology and a guarantee for a credit of Airpoints, so alls well that ends well.

I just rang them regarding this, my spend was just around a month ago, like $303 or something.

Guy I got hadn't heard of the deal, put me through to the AirPoints team who told me they don't deal with OneSmart, got put back and the different guy had no clue what it was either. Supervisor clarified saying it takes 40 working days to be credited. lol wat.

Terms and Conditions have always said 40 days.

Yeh but nothing about being 40 WORKING days. Quite a big difference, especially with all the public holidays we've had recently.

Pretty sure I called 0800 AIRPOINTS

0800 ONESMART is another one too apparently ( https://www.onesmart.co.nz/support )

Edit: both are 24/7

jnimmo:

I haven't been able to use it at many EFTPOS terminals, the tap and pay works but if I insert it in any of the machines it asks me to swipe (these don't have a magstrip on them do they?)

http://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/onesmart-register

Make sure you have the chip facing UP when you use it...I made this mistake and thought that it was incompatible with lots of EFTPOS terminals.
