Has anyone seen a decent home surveillance kit worth buying today?

Something like an Arlo Pro 2 4-camera kit. Asking for a friend.

tehgerbil: Edit: because this is a boxing day deal thread, I must contribute a deal!

$350 for a Dyson hot/cold fan (50% OFF!)

Damn looks like it's out of stock already! This would've been a great deal!

hairy1: $15 voucher per $100 spent at Mitre 10. You need a bit of a strategy as the vouchers are valid for 90 days only so don't let them expire!

Note these are store cards, iirc must be used at same store etc.

Not according to the checkout at Te Rapa Hamilton today who said that they  could be used anywhere.  We got four of them when we bought a EGO  powerhead and lawn edger.  They also thru in a $201 battery free as a boxing day special

ShinyChrome: The LG C9 65" is going for $3695 at Noel leeming, with the B9 on sale at Harvey Norman for $3499.

More interesting is the Panasonic GZ1000 going for $3398 at HN. Which is great by itself, but if you are quick, the existing cashback deal runs until midnight tonight, so technically you could buy it online at HN for the boxing day price and also claim the cashback of $400, making it just under $3k!

The cash back deal is between 19 November 2019 and 24 December 2019. Boxing day purchases are excluded.

sonyxperiageek: I wonder if the LG 65" C9 OLED TV will get any lower than $4,898.

https://www.vandyks.co.nz/product/details/60-69-inch-oled/lg-65quot-4k-oled-smart-tv-dual-tuner-1 have it for $3,999

Haven't heard of Van Dyks before, and no stores in Auckland. Are they legit?

I bought mine from Noel Leeming a couple of weeks ago for 3999. See if they will price match

Well its $3695 now. So you paid $304 more in less than a month :)

I'd be careful with the Arlos.  The geofencing has never worked for me (well it does for me but not multiple users in the household) and the latest firmware update has broken the 4000 series hubs (which I think the pros come with) integration with Smartthings

Sorry I wasn’t being clear. I meant the 65” one of this model... can’t find it online. So I wonder if people are finding it instore

55" Shows on their website so one assumes they are. They definitely have them instore in Wellington.

Harvey Norman do lots of dodgy stuff on their website including not listing their actual instore prices and some products so people can't use them to price match.

JB are $3695 which is a good price.

Thank you for that. I was hoping that some retailer out there was going to show a little more respect for the savage mauling inflicted upon most peeps wallets by those Zuru siblings, Mattel et al over the last few weeks & attempt to entice the last few available dollars out with some truly high quality discount bribery.

$216 at 16% off isn't inducing urgent compulsion yet. But then PB's Boxing Day sale goes for another 5 days yet...

You are a couple of days late there, champ. I posted that on the eve of the 24th, when HN's boxing day prices were live on their website for that TV.

Although now I read the Ts & Cs again, it says midnight on the 24th, which is horribly ambiguous to me. IANAL, but I would consider that midnight between the 24th-25th and it sounds like I'm not alone.

Damn, not a bad deal. I was looking at some the EGO gear today (particularly a line trimmer but now maybe a lawn mower as well) but apart from store card special, prices were not motivating. Do they ever go on sale? Or have BOGO/package deals with their range?

I wouldn't recommend the Arlo set of products, particularly the Ultra seems to have quite a few issues. Highly recommend you read some reviews online first.
