Interesting. I wouldnt get a 2TB that wasnt a 2.5" USB powered one now tho - 5TB seems to be the sweetspot $/gig wise now.

From what I saw on my (admittedly brief) look through that article, they don't use 2TB Seagates at all. Maybe if the 3TB drives have an extra platter in the same space (don't actually know if they do or not), they get less reliable. Besides, for $74 each, I'll take the chance (and hope I don't regret it).
