I am sure there may be some exceptions, but overall just like last time...nothing you can't get on any given weekend 'sale' or with a bit of shopping around.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

^ Yup. seems to be the way of retailing these days....specials are really not that special....on the upside it makes it easier to switch off from all the advertising :)

Looks like it is pretty much fading out as a promotion, as I didn't hear about it until I saw this thread, and it's over. The 1st year was quite big, but there didn't appear to be many deals that you couldn't get when these companies do their normal price rotations/sales. Looks like they are doing it every few months now from their website. It probably doesn't fall under the category of bargains and deals.

ah is that why I didn't see any 'specials' lol - I thought they all ended
