Posted this one on the website, but thought I'd stop by and put in on here as well, it's a really good price as they are retailing for around $70 in NZ currently.

Would have been good to see this yesterday when I bought 9 of them from PBtech.... but then I have already had them delivered so swings and roundabouts.

Nice find though

Bottom of the Amazon page:

Can I bring Chromecast with me to another country?
This version of the Chromecast is only supported in the United States. Other versions are available for sale internationally.

I was about to buy one before I even looked at what it did, I already have an Apple TV, probably don't need one :)

How do I get around, "This item does not ship to New Zealand"? I'm sure there's an easy workaround...

And it finally has 5ghz - it was inexcusable that the current one launched with only 2.4

Mine arrived in courier this morning. Nice work from Amazon - their mail said they expected delivery on or around 7/11, and its here 3 days early. I love companies that know how to underpromise and overdeliver.
I know what I'll be playing with after work...

Please let us know how things go - Like does it work with the NZ on demand sites? Does it work with HOLA extension for chrome?

You do know how a Chromecast works right? Unless if it specifically has a Cast button on an app, you will have to cast the tab from your laptop to the Chromecast. And so if the Hola extension works on your laptop, I don't see why it wouldn't work if you are just mirroring your browser tab to Cc. Same goes for the NZ on demand sites.

Then why in this post http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=151&topicid=154409 does it not work with Lightbox?
