Got this from Amazon and they ship to NZ for $176.98 NZD.

4 Bay Hdd Enclosure, support 6TB per bay, 24TB MAX with eSATA and USB 3.0. Seems like a solid unit. Similar product cost $300+

The down side is this enclosure is not NAS.

Hi,

I am on the lookout for a 4 bay case just like this (as in not a NAS but a USB3 connected case that can be connected to a NUC) but I have read several reports of problems with this sort of product.  Have you had a chance to test it?

Interestingly it doesn't do RAID (when most others seem to) which is a bonus for me - I would rather use Windows software RAID1 which lets me recover drives in any Windows PC rather than dealing with proprietary formats.

How noisy is the fan?  How are you connecting? USB or eSATA?

I've bought a few of these which are about the same price and local.
