I heard today that the new JB Hifi store in Wairau Rd is opening tomorrow:

something different about this store is that there is a dedicated Microsoft area within this JB Hifi - think of it as a Microsoft store within the JB Hifi store.

I'm told that there will be specials(*), amongst both the Microsoft section, and across the store. Might be worth dropping in and taking a look.

(*) sorry, no idea what's on special, how much, etc.

yes indeed, selling Surface Pro 3 for below manufacturing cost can't be a smart idea

Fair enough I guess.  Although maybe MS could look at it as rewarding some customer loyalty.wink  After all, for many years these customers have lined the MS coffers by paying significant money for software that (notwithstanding development and maintenance) has a very, very low manufacturing cost.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Yes it is.  But once you've reached critical mass the cost of sale does become very minimal, whereas opposed to hardware there are still significant material and build costs (more than $500 obviously for a Surface Pro 3).  I was just having a bit of a dig at corporate capitalism.

So do you work each month and tell your employer to only pay you until you have covered all your expenses that month, then ask for your pay to be reduced for the remainder of the month because it is only savings (profit) for you?

They had a PS4 game bundle for $89. Includes LBP3, Driveclub and Singstar (which the guy said I could trade in for $30)

For people wondering where it is, it's apparently at 7 Link Drive (next to Placemakers where Carpet Court & Hunters Furniture used to be).

They had an ad in the Herald today, the specials didn't look overly exciting though.
