Saw that Harvey Normans are discounting two models of Surface Pro 3.  The i5 128GB model is down to $1268, and the 256GB model is $1588.

I'm seriously tempted by this, as the discount is even lower than MS own discount.  Just wanted to check with everyone else whether this is as good a deal as it seems to me.  I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned it yet (I'm not usually the first person to notice such things!)  Maybe I've missed something, and a new version is due out soon (or have problems arisen with the current models?)

that is a good deal.
Just remember that the 256 ssd one comes with 8gigs of ram, the 128 only comes with 4.

Plus you can get the type cover for about $140 if you ask nicely, if HN does not do it then I know another big retailer in yellow and red that will.

I picked up the last 256GB/i5 model at HNs in Palmerston North last night.  I also got a type cover for $168, but it's on backorder.  So far, I'm absolutely loving it!  The stylus/pen in particular is great, and will get lots of use.
