Thanks but possibly more helpful if you had a link sorry. What size/model? Do you have a link for this particular one that you got? Thanks.

Had a  look at their website for smart phones and noticed that the Moto G Rev2 was selling for $329,  that's nearly $100 more than they were the other week.  So much for their big discounts..

Hmmm, hows the backlight on this monitor? Any flicker when at the lowest settings?

yup that's it. personally a monitor bigger than this would be too big.

Dstarzero: Got me a Samsung 4k monitor for $537.

Good deal.

I'm waiting for the IPS panels to come down in price. The TN panels give distortion from the side view which is fine for workstation use .

Rather impressed that ~50" UHD can be had for $1k and 60" can be had for $2k. Good sign these are coming down in price so quickly.

Got an Asus C730 Chromebook bundle for my son at $383.20 at 20% off. Was lucky I could get their website up on the display model because neither their floor staff nor till staff could get the price right.

Popped into the local NL (The Base) to see get some photos done and see what they had on sale.

Saw this:

I do need a SD Card, San Disk are 40% off
Might check the smaller store in Dunedin and see what they have on the shelf

Even at 40% off I would expect PB tech would be cheaper, and they have a flash storage sale at the moment. http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?p=hotdeals

Saw this:

<snip - picture of SIII with a claim of was $1049 and now with price of $549, save $500>

Didn't realise I had stepped through a time machine and back to 2012!

Were they really retailing the SIII at $1049 prior to this stock clearance? If not, that would be a breach of the fair trading act would it not?

You'd be rather upset if you brought this thinking you got a good deal and then seeing you could have had a S4 for less.

I do want San Disk, specifically 8GB 40x SDHC Card
So, paying a couple of dollars more in store at Noels rather than $10 + GST + postage from PB is a great deal cheaper. Since postage from PB to the South is over $11
