Missed it again. Do these only take Samsung lenses or are there other options?

If you keep refreshing they seem to add the stock and run out again, similar to the WHS sale on LG G Watch.
It takes Samsung Lenses, with Samsung Mount as per this review.

JB Hifis price is $499 (although may not be in stock), so maybe not as big a saving as it first may appear. Also it is an older 2013 model

Amazon has it for about USD$248. So, I suppose it is not a bad deal with local warranty here.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but at that price it would be okay. Yes I had noticed JB HiFi had it for $499, but $277 is better ;-)

Anyone know if the LG Sound plate is worth it for that price? Haven't got room for a full home theatre system so that deal looks interesting. Have an LG TV too so wouldn't have any compatibility issues.

I don't have the room for a full home theatre either, but the one I have got has small speakers which, where  I grouped three speakers along the front of the tv to effectively create a soundbar. I don't think these other sound bars, plates are worth the premium they charge for them unless you go for one of the really premium ones, and not sure if LG are the best of brands for them either. I would stick to Sony, Panasonic, and possibly samsung. Also pays to get one that is the same brand as the TV so the syncing between tv and receiver works better eg turning it on and off and volume control, as having different brands can sometimes cause problems.

In regard to that sound plate, it looks to be quite low powered, 20w per speaker. Interesting that Mightyape are selling what appears to be the same model for nearly $700, even though NL price say their normal price is $297.  https://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/LG-LAP340-Sound-Plate/22778129

I'm sure the fluctuation in available stock is partly down to the item being added then deleted (by the user or automatically) from the cart. This would have more impact if stock levels are already low.

I for one managed to get one in my cart, and in the period before it was automatically emptied researched the model. I ended up not purchasing it due to some of the negatives commonly pointed out in the reviews. One of the biggies for me is I still have a preference for a viewfinder, as I find almost all screens aren't that useful in full sun.
