My favorite features so far:

With my Windows Phone internet sharing turned off, the surface still sees the phone and when I ask it to connect, the surface enables the internet sharing on the phone automatically.

It knows my phone connection costs, and doesn't try to download the whole internet when it connects. Metered Connections

From them??
If so, I believe they've still got the policy that they'll refund you the difference (if within 7 days).

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Prefer not to be the Core M actually as the performance is pretty poor compared to Core i3/i5/i7s.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Hmmm "Windows Update will only download priority updates."

Could be expensive in the wrong place.

+it won't know about third party like av etc. But nice to know they started thinking about the problem.

any Windows app can call the API to find out if it is on a metered connection or not

And it works.  Unlike my iOS8.0.3 device which decided to download 1GB of app updates, even though App Store is set to "not use cellular data" when I was travelling the other day

I have one of everything ;)

It was eye-opening for me to see how lacking iOS is around controlling your mobile broadband spend, data limits per month, settings to control image size thru browser etc

Conspiracy theorists might even say OS vendor is in cahoots with mobile operator to drive data bills/ARPU and overage charges
