Isn't that $80 off for the printer and $160 if you buy a set of ink cartridges with it?

Yes. Correct. You have to get the cartridges as well. They did this promo a while ago and it was a bit unclear on the Warehouse Stationery site. Good printer though. I have the OfficeJet Pro 8600 plus and have been impressed with the general usage of this printer.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Perhaps the title needs to be revised to the actualy cost after cashback. Not sure what the cost of the ink is, but if you have to buy extra ink, in addition to the ink that comes with it, at a guess you must be adding on 50+ dollars. The problem with any ink jet, apart from those new ones which have the huge tanks, is that the manufacturers basically give away the printers, so they can sell ink. The ink is where they make the money. That said, they are good printers but printers are a commoditiy, as they all tend to be good these days, and if they break, you just buy a new one as they are so cheap.

So what is the total cost once you have bought all the ink and got all the rebates?

Does anyone have one of those large capacity inkjets. I think it is Epson who make them, they have huge tanks beside them. I think they are about $500 which isn't bad considering that they say they come with ink that should last a few years.

It is a very similar idea, but one of the printer companies now make them, so it is all supported. Looks like it maybe this one http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2778082/End-ink-cartridge-Epson-unveils-printer-refillable-TANK-print-6-500-pages-needs-refilling.html .
