Just to clarify, after chasing this deal. Its prescription FRAMES for $29 with coupon.

not complete glasses.

but the 50% off should be the complete glasses and bring cost down to around $50 minimum

No, I believe it is indeed $29 for the whole deal. I went through the process including using my prescription, accepted the $20 charge for coatings and the total cost including lenses, coatings and shipping (don't need another pair of sunnies) was $49 (using the $20 discount code provided in the top post). Deduct the $20 for coatings and the cost would have been $29.

Edit - confirmed the total cost w/o coatings as $29.

I will try again, was up to $108 (standard lense with coating) then pulled the plug

edit:- tried again, still added a cost of 39.95 for the cheapest clear lenses (99 and 159 for other options)   i wonder if it has to do with the actual perscription details.

What price were the frames that you started with? To get it as low as $29 you need to select a pair from the $49 frames (noting this cost includes standard lenses). Also, don't forget to apply the discount codes at the end.

it is related to prescription,  I changed it to -2.00 and -3.00 and the lenses came up free and the others lenses were options.
the free lenses arn't an option with my higher values   :(

Ah! That's a real pisser - I've hit that exact problem with Spec Savers before, but luckily my script isn't considered too out-of-the ordinary for Clearly. Still, they may still offer you good value? (I've had good wear out of my first pair I bought from Clearly a year ago; the delivery was quick, the lenses accurate, and the frames are very comfortable and are yet to fall apart!

Thanks to the OP for the post - I've ordered a pair to have as spares, say to leave at work - at $49 it's hard to go wrong for a back-up...

I found clearly generally pretty good. In general I find most of the cheap glasses places don't get prescriptions quite right - compared with the Zeiss lenses I had made in NZ I find I get a lot more eye strain (prescription around +5.5). This applies to Zenni, 39dollarglasses, and from memory clearly was a bit better. I use them as glasses for the car, and spares, but not for home or work.
