I went to the mall today to check out some cheap Android 7 inch tablets I could use for our office music playback device, and came out with an HP Stream 7 for $99.

Considering it comes with Office 365 included, 25GB of Dropbox and an IPS screen it's not bad.

Not super fast, just wish there was a touch Spotify app...!!! HP Stream 7 seems to be missing from their website but picked up from Noel Leeming by St Lukes Auckland

Good Deal,
Office 365 is worth more than that anyway. Tablet itself is OK, but good for that money.

Yeap, 1 year...

6 Months for the Dropbox storage which is a bit weird...

for $99 though...

Yeap, good for $99, but must only be a few instore left. Shows these small windows tablets are being sold very cheaply these days, maybe due to lack of apps for them.

It installs fine - the tablet experience is pretty disjointed atm.

Just noticed Office365 personal gives you 60 free skype minutes each month?

Cool - just activated it.

Jaxson: Windows on 1GB RAM sounds nasty...

Windows 8.1 on a 32GB quad core tablet that is less than the cost of a Windows License, as well as less than the cost of Office 365

1GB won't get you far, but it seems speedy enough for the price point

Can you hook it up to a bigger screen, and plugin a keyboard and mouse. If so, it would make a reasonable student computer, if you buy a cheap monitor.

Ok music player controller etc. Cheaper than a pipo or other Chinese one.

Not saying it's not a good deal, just the specs are the weak link in the chain.

There's no hdmi out from memory, but I believe some have had success with an additional usb - hdmi adapter.

For the price you can't really go wrong

I use mine a bit for email or just surfing while watching tv.
Also good for spotify with the UE mega boom :)

Also works fine with 1gig of ram, but it's not the type of machine you would put photo shop etc on.

It's great for just basic web/email also skype works fine on it.

Good little tablet to take away when you travel.
