Just seen this, ends tonight

If you want a cheap smart phone you can't really go wrong with it.
I have had one for a few months and very happy with it for the price i paid ($250)

http://www.harveynorman.co.nz/phone-and-gps/mobile-phones/lumia-735-windows-phone-grey.html?r=1

You can also put the preview of WP10 on it as well.

The big problem though is it is windows, so lacks the great apps, compared to android and ios. But apart from that, it looks like quite good specs for the price.

....Until Windows 10 Mobile is released when it'll be able to run Android apps.

Windows 10 won't run existing Android apps.

But, Microsoft have introduced software that lets app developers create software that will run on iOS, Android and (of course) Windows.

BTW.. that is dirt cheap for that phone. I bought one for $250 and thought it was a good deal.

I enjoy using my WP.

The Lumia's are amazing value and bang-for-buck can't be compared to anything else really....

Great phone at that price. I got it for $297 a few months ago which I thought was good.

Here is a video of a guy installing and running existing android apps on win10 dev preview.  It's a bit hacky, and google play services don't work, but you can clearly run existing apps.

you wont be able to grab any android app or iOS app from the store and install on a win phone, but the app developers will be able to use one of our bridge technologies (Astoria, Islandwood) that will basically let them recompile their android/iOS apps to run on windows phone with minimal or sometimes no changes to the original code.

We do also have technologies for authoring apps on windows platform that can also target android and ios.  Things like Cordova, and Xamarin.

Did anybody actually get one of these from Harvey Norman at all?

Their online store gave no option (by Saturday) to actually add these to your cart. I complained to HN on twitter on Monday but never heard anything back as they seem to part time social media users. Once the price went back up to $299 the add to cart button reappeared and once again you could buy them. It's a shame I didn't actually get any screen shots because it is very clearly bait advertising.

I could perfectly understand if a clearance item had sold out, but there was no mention of this on their site. The fact there is clearly stock available once the price went up shows they can't have run out..
