xpd: We get free trial codes from Countdown all the time at work, cant give them away......
All of the google search results appear to be free offers, with no codes required. I signed up using I think the TVguide link.
It's just a big marketing campaign so there isn't any restriction to who signs up for the offers. There have also been recent grabone and other voucher site free offers.
Perhaps your countdown trials offered more benefits for countdown staff use only?
