When you purchase from the MS online store. Runs until 30th September.

Surface Pro 3 comes with a free $200 MS Store voucher at the moment too.

Looks like it's the i5 128GB and above that get the $200 voucher FYI.  I.E. not the entry level i3.

Am I looking at the wrong place?

It looks like the free type cover + pen is for the Surface 3 and the $200 store voucher is for the Surface pro 3.

^Yeah that's what the title says - MS Surface 3 free TypeCover and Pen, then first post says Surface Pro 3 comes with $200 voucher.

This is the model to go for IMO as it has 4GB of RAM instead of just 2GB for the entry level model.

There is a Surface Pro 4 and MS Band 2 reveal in October. Surface devices have been getting discounts lately around the world to lower the stock numbers for new products launch.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Thank you very much for the heads up. That is a very good deal. It also includes free 1 year sub to office 365 personal.

iirc Microsoft reps here went as far as recommending buying the pro via official retailers instead as it had longer warranty and accessories included.

Microsoft Store is shipping Surface with Windows 10. Many other retailers are still Windows 8, which is an advantage if you want the choice for now.

I went into Noel Leeming today to buy the 128gb Pro i5 and showed them the MS website deal  which they matched :)

Ended up getting the dock station too.

not sure who that was.  Warranty from retail is all the same from wherever you buy it.

Surface 3 just came out.  Its still one of the only devices on the market with the Atom X7.  There's no new Surface 3 model around the corner, if you look back at the Surface history models get revved every 12-18 months or so.

commercial resellers have 4/64 Surface 3 and it has a better warranty with forward replacement (advanced exchange) as well as Windows Pro instead of just Windows.
