1day have the latest Chromecast (video, not audio) available today for $70 plus $5 shipping, available at https://www.1-day.co.nz/products/google-chromecast-2-black

Not bad a price, given Pricespy shows next best price at $99 (http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=3341551).

A pity they don't have the audio available as well...

Thanks! There's one of my son's birthday presents sorted. $70's ok for this, and hopefully it'll come down cheaper on special - $100 was just too much...

I'm tempted by the audio one.

I got the Samsung M7 or whatever it was wireless speaker a while back, when it was on special at Noel Lemmings.

I've found the speaker good in some ways, but very bad in others.  Namely there are certain frequencies that cause it resonate badly, and the fact that it will only work with Spotify premium.

I think I may get a better end result using a Chromecast 2 audio and my old basic mini system aux line in, given it has fairly decent speakers anyway.

(This all just sits on my fridge in the kitchen).

Does anyone know if there is that stupid requirement for Spotify Premium on the Chromecast 2 audio device?
