I missed the black friday deals on the Withings Activite Steel, but am keen on one as I'm looking for something for step\swim tracking that looks more a bit more stylish than a blocky\plasticy fitbit (and of course the fitbit isn't waterproof)

Just checked the Withings pricing and it looks like they have a pretty good discount on them combined with a 25% discount coupon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018SL790Q

comes to 123NZD landed to your door in NZ. I think this is less than 10NZD difference to the black friday deal so have jumped on it.

Just posting in case anyone else is interested.

That is a pretty good price - this is one of the watches I've been eyeing up (my parents want to get me a new watch for Christmas but want me to pick one...). I see it is if you purchase 2 watches so I suppose you're seeking another order for a discount?

Where do you see it's if you purchase 2? My order appears to have gone through at that price with just one...

(EDIT: Though I did have it already in my cart with a previous coupon applied for a few days before they dropped the base price - not sure if something odd happened due to that...)

Oh I was looking at the Withings store offer which is if you buy 2x you get 20% off the total order.

Wow, looks like this will also be one of the fastest deliveries from Amazon I've had too - DHL is saying it will be with me on Monday 19th, Amazon is saying Wed 21 because of customs delays, but either is great as I wasn't expecting it before xmas :)

Just purchased one - went for the AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping option so it arrives before Christmas (parents wanted to get me a new watch as a replacement for my Pebble). Was $157.53NZD total. I am pretty excited to try one since @freitasm has said some pretty good things about his (speaking of which - if anyone else is going to purchase one use This Link to give Geekzone a kickback).

Will be strange however going from a Smartwatch but really looking forward to the extra long battery life. Thanks @sidefx.

Nice one.  Yeah I'm really looking forward to giving it a try. I think it'll take some adjusting to; I suspect I'll miss being able to control music and see notifications... but also really like the idea of something that I can swim in and that looks decent (I hope) when dressed up. The fact it takes fairly standard watch straps also really appeals.

The battery in my Activite Pop just died, after 13 months. Will find out sometime this week how easy or hard it is to change the battery.

Very happy with my Pop BTW.

Yeah let us know - My understanding is that they just take standard watch batteries and are pretty much just like any other watch to replace, so you can just take it to any watch shop\jeweler or do it yourself if so inclined.  Another feature that appeals to me :)

Just did it. Watched a couple of videos first and read all the comments about hard it is to pop the back cover off, and to get it back on.

The back came off really easily, phew. As someone who has trouble opening jars this was a relief.

Replaced battery with an Energizer 2025. It fits.

Getting the cover back on required quite a bit of force. More than I can muster with my thumbs.

Put the watch face up on the carpet and pressed down with my hand. I heard a click. Looked at watch and saw only one side was flush.

Put the watch back on the carpet and pressed down on the non-flush side, heard another click and it looked OK.

Just resynched with the phone and it seems happy enough.

Like all waterproof watches, waterproofness may be compromised after a battery change.
