So the Boxing Day sales emails have started. What is everyone looking for this year?

Share any good deals you see.

A bit early I think.

We haven't even had the 2016 Boxing day sales yet ;-)

Just what my wallet needed. Briscoes have a pre sale by the way. Probably.

Dislike the fact they even call it boxing day sales now.

Really its a month long special run in an attempt to gain shoppers over your nearest neighbour by lowering margins on bulk purchases from suppliers up till the time and continuing the sale after the forced holiday breaks.

Once upon a time it was rush rush before christmas, and then an actual sale day to declutter older stuff and stock afteer. Now, gimic month of crazed spending.

It seems Briscoes sales last about 365 days.

Don't talk to me about Briscoes pre-Christmas sales...Selected the right coffee machine online, went to the local store, had 1 on display, none in boxes; went to one of their stores much further away, had 2 on display and none in boxes; not allowed to buy a display machine, told to order it online and it would be with me in 3 days; did that instore and received an email saying they couldn't immediately locate the machine, and it was on backorder (and they put a hold for the amount on my card); waited nearly 7 days (getting much too close to Christmas now, not looking forward to a Christmas and wife without coffee) and got an email saying they didn't have it and couldn't get it and the order was cancelled.  Drove to the original nearby Briscoes store, went next door to HN, and got one for $100 less than Briscoes' super sale price.

Moral?  You decide.

I bet it's 20-60% off everything in store.
