Not sure if this is the right section for the post. (More of need help and advice).

3dr Solo with Gimbal, Extra Battery and Propellors is selling for USD299 including free shipping in US.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/3dr-solo-drone-black/5351035.p?loc=0&ref=8575135&acampID=385c6386dece11e68175fa47dc7d921c0INT

I have been trying to buy this for about a week and have tried using different names / contact numbers and tried shipping to Youshop but Bestbuy cancels the order straight away.

Just wondering if anyone has experience shopping from Best buy and how they got it shipping to NZ.

Thanks

Why you should NOT buy the 3DR Solo Drone

NZ Post YouShop would be the best way to ship to NZ.

Don't send it to youshop, they don't accept anything with a battery now.

Edit: well looks like they have updated again without telling people.  However there "click here" is not clickable. Send at your own risk

Electronic items with lithium-ion batteries

YouShop USA

Lithium-ion and Lithium polymer batteries have restrictions in place for more information click here. Note standalone batteries cannot be sent using the service.

YouShop Europe

Lithium-ion batteries can’t be sent from the UK or Europe via YouShop.

OP said they cancelled his order when he had it sent to YouShop.

OP: based on recent experience, you are going to have all sort of trouble getting something shipped with an "extra battery".  Batteries in devices are OK, batteries not in devices are a whole other kettle of fish when it comes to air freight now.

Best buy don't ship to known reshippers including You shop. The You shop address is the reason the order gets cancelled.

Cheers, Matt.

You had me interested, but after seeing the reviews of this, I'd be staying away anyway. There's some "issues".

The fact it's discontinued is a big thing.

Something discontinued locally has some warranty backup, but not when it's from OS.

Thanks for the link.  Gone the way of the Lily and GoPro Karma and the Wellington Rugby Sevens...
