If I'm right it starts early but I can't see what time it begins. Wanting Amazon tab, fire TV, and new echo.

Amazon is still frustrating as hell when it comes to filtering for international shipping sellers.

Why not use a forwarder like Youshop?

Anyone got the kids edition of the fire tablets? Worth it in NZ? Thinking of getting one for our 5 year old, but don’t know if it might be better just to get the standard model

I got it for my 2 year old. Freetime is pretty good and the piece of mind with 2 year no questions asked warranty is sweet. For the price its going for, it is definatly worth it. My only issue with it is that offline videos are available for 48 hours and then it needs an internet connection. You will also need to ensure you have DNS proxy at home so it looks like you are in the US otherwise freetime wont work.

I did install youtube kids edition which my son loves and uses more of at the moment.

because you pay by volume and have no say over how your item is packed before it gets to you shop.

I see the FireTV stick is available for US$25. Is this easy to use here in NZ? Interested mostly in using it for Netflix, NZ version. Will it work out of the box for this?

Yes, it should work out of the box - you still need an Amazon account but the Netflix app can use any account (without any changes it will use the NZ Netflix service)

Plex works great on the Fire TV. I would guess the same for the TV stick.

Cheers, Matt.
