Pretty good deals, ends tonight.

Can get my family of 5 to rarotonga for $950 all up.   That is an awesome deal if you follow this stuff.

Dates are pretty crappy as usual though.

I haven't flown Jetstar for quite a few years and they were terrible back then,   what are they like these days?

Bus in the sky.. as long as you get off the ground, its fine. (Meaning, Jetstar have been known for cancelling flights.. with no real solutions in this case)

I fly with them.. they are OK.. Great for the price.. as long as things go to plan.

I have just purchased return tickets for my family of four in this sale.. $606.. Auckland to Queenstown return. Air NZ on the same days at approx the same times with the same luggage approx $1400.

I have travelled with them to Rarotonga a few times now.. No complaints at all.

As long as there are no issues leaving, I (personally) believe they do a good job. Their issues seam to occur when things go wrong, as a cancellation anywhere in the system leads to a knock on affect.

DFP did you have to travel week days to get that price? I couldn't find anything on weekends.

We did want to travel Friday to Friday.. March 8th to March 15th..

The dates were perfect for us.

Edit.. I'm also travelling with them again to Rarotonga in September.. again four of us as a Family. They are just a means to get between A & B at a good price, if it all goes well. We have had no issues yet.. Touch wood (tapping the side of my head.. lol)

The thought of ending my holiday with a 0400 arrival back in NZ means no Jetstar for me

From Mid 2013-Mid 2017 I was flying between Wellington and Christchurch every 2-3 weeks, which adds up to a fair few flights.. around 60-70% of those flights were on JetStar, and in all honesty I had more problems with AirNZ flights being late/delayed/cancelled than I did with JetStar during that entire time. On the whole I'd say Air NZ's customer service when things did go wrong was better, but not THAT much better.. I'm perfectly happy to fly JetStar again, the only caveat I'd say is don't fly them on tight margins if you absolutely have to be somewhere at a certain time, because if they do cancel your flight they generally have far fewer flights to accommodate the excess on (e.g. I started a new job, was in Wellington the weekend before my first day, due to fly back the Sunday afternoont.. Flight Cancelled.. ended up flying Monday morning redeye from WLG -> AKL then AKL- > CHC a few hours later, didn't get into the office for new job until after midday.. less than ideal first day lol)

Couldn't get this deal for any times I could use it - almost always the way!

However yesterday I snagged off Mix&Match (House of Travel) a couple return flights to Houston (United codeshare on AirNZ metal) for $1000/pp... a little over half price.

Thanks for the heads up. I booked return flights to take my daughter to the Canterbury University open day next month.
