Amazon started its Amazon Prime Day promotion early - if you have Amazon Prime then go get the Amazon Prime Show with a US$100 discount, down to US$129 (YouShop required). Other products will be discounted over the next few days, with the main dates being 16 - 17 July (US time).

The Show is a fantastic device. We have it in the Kitchen. Sometimes I think our kids use it so much they might overload  the amazon cloud!

Saw the price, just can't think of anything useful to do with it.

Not sure if I am opening myself up to misery, but if you are happy to pay me upfront, I am happy to order one for you and have it shipped here.

Look at the videos. I would pay $129 for something that would set alarms, timers and play music in my kitchen in a heart beat, it's capable of magnitudes more than that if you want to invest some time.

Can't you do that with an Echo anyway ?

Though I guess you do get a screen for only $30 extra.

$30 for the screen is completely worth it.

Shame they are countertop shaped tho. I will have to enlarge the echo shelf in the kitchen for this when it gets here.

Does prime day discount the cost of prime (yearly) if you don't have it already?

No youtube on them now, and the music video playback at least on the spot is a buggy mess that often just leaves a frozen player on the screen which does nothing.
