Looks like the Nokia 7.1 was released late October 2018.

Had to come here sooner or later I guess.

EDIT: Oh - the warehouse one is the 7 plus - dont know if that has a replacement yet or not...

Nokia's version numbering makes no sense.

The 7.1 is basically the same phone as the 6.1 Plus.

The 7 Plus is a different phone which is higher-spec but older than the 7.1/6.1 Plus. It will be refreshed/replaced soon, probably by the 7.1 Plus. And we'll all remain hopelessly confused...

This is a good deal and a better buy than the 7.1 even at its best sale price (about $430).

We're about to start seeing x.2 models as well apparently, to further add to the confusion.

I'm intending to buy the Nokia 'something' when it's released shortly.

Thanks for the tip... As it happens father-in-law dropped and broke his Nokia 7 Plus yesterday, so here comes the replacement...

I agree that the 7 Plus is the best. We have one in our household and the larger battery is a major advantage.

The 7 Plus is such a great phone for the price that I don't care that it is the most obvious inconsistency in the Nokia model names - it deserves to stand out. It is the only "X Plus" phone as there is no 2 Plus, no 3 Plus, no 4 to plus, no 5 Plus, no 6 Plus, and no 8 plus unless you take the 8 Sirocco.

I think the reference was to the fact the old Nokia phones were nearly bomb proof. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxeSBChfBCg

Have you seen some stats on this. All I've seen are some - not a large number - of reported problems including the connector becoming loose (not the case with my son's phone) and the cable connectors not sitting flush against the case (a problem with the case design) so the cable can move too much.
