Just now in the P30 Owner's thread. Follow the link I posted for the P30 or search JB HiFi for P30.

I would go for this after missing out on the samsung s10 one, but no longer live near JBhifi, and I am guessing there will be a long line. So there is no way of knowing how many they have in stock either I hope it doesn't end up with a whole lot ending up on trademe. I would prefer they just did a half price deal, which would result in the same revenue for them, and would mean that buyers are more likely to keep them.

The don't want to devalue there brand.

People are funny and if the see a phone at $500 they think it is lesser than the same phone at $1000 with a buy one get 1 free offer.

Plus it pushes up the average sales for JB HiFi

I get the feeling this is stock dumping/clearing. Is Huawei NZ clearing the shelves.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

The stock levels in the stores don't seem very high. The NL website says there are 2 of each of the 3 colours in my local one. That would imply that only 3 people would get the deal at my local store. Not unless the numbers are wrong or they have more stock than is showing. The ad does say 500 nationwide.

It makes you wonder how much margins are really in smartphones if retailers can basically knock half the price off. You'd hate to be trying to sell one when a BOGO deal goes live.

I suspect it works more like a rebate. Phones can halve in retail price within a year, so they are always most expensive when they are launched.

Harvey Norman said on their website 25 max nationwide also.  There is a number on Facebook marketplace now seems like they are not selling very well.  Prices range from $650 to $900+ including one fella who is listing 2 Huawei P30's.

This will be supported by Huawei. There is basically no chance of a retailer doing an offer like this without the distributor providing the BOGO.
