Thats worth considering, thank you.

I know I am dumb for having money sitting in a bog standard savings account at ASB.
It could be in anything else and do better, which is the problem.
I can't decide out of all the options which one to choose.
Sharesies has been on the radar for a while.

Done. Cheers
I think I've done it.
Well I've got $15, not sure how to spend it.
I'll check out the help.

Hmmm, the help didnt help me much.
How do I spend the $15?
My portfolio value is $15, and that is the available to invest amount in my wallet as well.
I have setup an auto-invest into a fund, and an automatic payment to cover that spend.
But still I have this $15 sitting there, smirking at me.

It'll take it from your wallet automatically first, so you don't need the automatic payment setup. If there's not enough in your wallet it will just "bounce" (but as far as I can see there's no penalty for an auto-invest bouncing) SO I just top my sharesies wallet up occasionally when I have some money to spare, and the rest of the time ignore the messages saying auto-invest has failed.
(You can also just search and buy direct, but auto-invest seems good as it takes the natural impulse to panic if funds go up or down away a bit - you just "tell" sharesies which funds you want to invest in long term, trickle money into them and forget about them. At least that's my approach ;-) )

@kiwifidget - It just sounded like you had put money into your account (through an automatic payment?) to cover your auto-invest, and that would have been why your $15 bonus was still sitting there. Turn off your auto payment and set your auto-invest to $15 and it will automatically use that $15 bonus :)
