Seeing the face masks thread in this forum reminded me to post this:

Anecdotally, the hand gels that contain glycerine (like this one) seem to be the ones to leave a sticky/slimy residue when they dry. I usually look for ones with carbomer/crosspolymer as the thickener instead. But I may be completely wrong on this.

Great moisturiser and a food ingredient, so I wouldn't worry too much about a little residue.

If I really need something to be cleaned, that's what the 94% alcohol is for.

Chemist Warehouse has a different brand of 500ml bottles for $2.99 each if 1L bottles are too big. No idea about viscosity/smell.

Totally agree about being a great moisturiser and yes it's non-toxic. But when you sanitise your hands and half an hour later the sun streams in the window near where you are working and your palms get sweaty and slimy from the residue, and the keyboard keys start sticking to your fingers it's not a nice feeling.

To report back on the Container Door sanitiser: sent yesterday and already arrived today.

Smell out of the bottle is totally acceptable but has been turned into something quite pleasant with the addition of 'green apple' scent (otherwise used for a diffuser).

Viscosity is ok - not too runny, which I hate.

Feel afterwards is really good - no feeling of stickiness left on the hands at all, unlike some products that leave you feeling like your hands are covered in glue. Overall, really happy with it, and great to have as a bottle on the back doorstep when arriving back from shopping.
