Cheap ($140) robot vacuum cleaner from PB tech today.
Not may reviews so buy at own risk, but the few reviews I saw were OK.
Refurbished model.
Promo code for free shipping (FREESHIP).
I couldn't resist - brought one to try :)

If its anything like the Xiaomi 1C (somewhere around $4-$500) we bought a couple of years ago, you will be quite surprised at how well it works.

It looks like this model may be ‘dumber’ than the 1C - the navigation on this one seems to be completely random like old school Roombas

From reading the specs a little more closely, you are correct, it doesn't seem to support mapping, but does promise not to fall down my stairs :)

If it mostly works I'll think about upgrading one today to something with more bells and whistles...

DONT BOTHER!

I have original xiaomi vacuum without mopping (4+ yrs) - works great.

Decided I needed another one, just because I'm lazy to bring existing downstairs to vacuum hard floors. Bought el chipo smart vacuum (150ish) - worst ever purchase, sold after 3 use. Purchased another xiaomi dreame d9 for 350ish. could not be any happier.

I like the Xiaomi 1C a couple of years ago to see how well they work. Short answer, great on carpet and floors, mopping is useless. It works well, but I'll upgrade to one with better sensors some time, the $400 Xiaomi is pretty poor at running into things. More advanced models have way more sensors. This one does great for the price.

I'd avoid the $150 one personally, unless reviews say it's worthwhile.
