LHS is LG-Veon, RHS is Veon-Veon.

Stu1: How can you tell which model is which online?
There's only one 55" Veon and possibly only one 65" Veon, the web site lists two but it looks like the same one. To be absolutely sure, ping them and check for giveaway LG-only features like the Magic Remote or ThinQ support.
However given that both are marked as out of stock online, you'll have to go to a store anyway. I think each store has been allocated a fixed quota since we had to try three before finding one with stock, and they had a stack of the 65's and they sold all their 55s this morning.

mentalinc: They will be the panels that fail LG quality tests
If they've failed anything it's not obvious from the panels or the TVs. My assumption was that it was a way of capturing a market segment that was otherwise out of reach, like Citizen and Lorus, or Spark and Skinny.
I guess my point is you're not getting the screen from the $3000 LG tv for $849.

Shrapz: Was looking at the 65” in store today, is there a way to tell on the boxed units if it’s an lg panel?
