I've seen this come up a couple of times now.  Have purchased for myself; checks out.  

 

Microsoft Office is down to just $29, no subscription required | TechSpot

 

You get a key to copy from Techspot and a link to a Microsoft page to paste the license into your Microsoft account followed by a download button.  All is linked through from the above.

The lifetime of a Microsoft Office license is questionable since Microsoft Office is dead soon IMO, one would expect they will consolidate desktop and cloud fully soon.  Still a good deal though.

Yeah an older pro version purchased through work back when you could do that.  Uninstalled it first.
