Has anyone had any past experience with purchasing a Samsung fridge (or other large Samsung appliance) from the Airpoints store?

I am looking at a side by side fridge, great price today, and says includes free delivery... half price, usually $3499, today only $1749.

Is this delivery and install? If delivery only, I am pondering how a person would manoeuvre and install if simply dropped at the door...

There doesn't seem to be any option to pay additional for delivery and install.

I wish people would only post deals like the title says. This should be posted in general

It is a deal, usually $3499, its 50% off today, $1749?

Would you not consider this a deal?

Yep, have tried that, received a response saying they have reached out to their supplier.

The deal ends today, hence posting here to see if anyone has past experience.

Did you really think I couldn't look for myself for contact info, and attempt that option first. (I'm not that lazy)

So why was that info not in the first post?

Let me help you….
“Hi all, this fridge is 50% off from 3499 to 1749. Does anyone know if this would include the delivery or install by any chance, if not I’ll contact them and can post a reply for anyone else interested”

People have a watch on anything posted under bargains and deals. So anything posted is emailed to people that watch.

Nothing personal,  but you wouldn't be the first to post here as Step 1 :)

Understood, and agree I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that others might try this as their first option.

I've tried all of the contact info for the airpoints store team, and have contacted Samsung directly (their team are in Manilla and were completely useless), hence reaching out to see if anyone has past experience, as I presume I'm not the first person to purchase a fridge.

Apologies, I'm not familiar with the intricacies of how Geekzone works or whether people have email alerts setup, I've added the price to the original post to alleviate your concerns.

It would be safest to assume they will only deliver it external to your house, or in the garage. And they might not even have enough people to lift it, so can only take it to where they can wheel it to. You could look at getting a hire a hubby type tradesmen or a mover to install it.

I've ordered two large items from the AirPoints Store, and the following info may help someone in the future.

The first was delivered to my door just under a month after my order was placed.  A dispatch email was sent 3 days before it arrived, but no tracking information was available.  While the so the exact arrival date and time was not predictable, the experience was pretty good.

The second item was three weeks late.  Communication was poor, and I did receive an apology for this.  Once the item 'arrived' it was at a local Harvey Norman store and it was my responsibility to collect it from there (which involved hiring a man-and-a-van).  I knew about this in advance only because I had asked a question by email about the colour before ordering.  The emailed answer took a week to arrive and that answer happened to also advise the item was 'click and collect'.  Nowhere on the product information page or in the order confirmation email advised the item was click and collect.
