hass in 3rd row?
Torrorosso's were looking strong until qualifying. I think Norris was surprised to make it to P8.
I missed all FP's pretty much, how was Kubica? In FP's as well as Quali till he ended?

LOL. You could go watch them on Spark Sport :-)
But seriously... It's too early to say for sure, but as much as I'd like him to be back, he may not be up to it. He ran wide and hit walls twice (once entering pit lane) which I hope is nothing to do with his strength. He was also slowest I think but that's the car - his teammate was ahead of him (but still second slowest I think)

Yes that was the plan and for feedback but it was not a great weekend.
Yes, it doesnt look good unfortunately, I asked as his time was a lot slower than his teammate
Odd race, but MEB often is. It bears no resemblance to other circuits. Lewis seems to have gone off the boil, as he does if he's not on top, compounded by Bottas with his tail up.
Surprised Kvyat wasn't moved over for Gasly. I dont rate Gasly, I now feel they will let these two decide who is better, which is clearly Kvyat.
Pity about Danny Ricc, grass hid a deep rut
Ferrari miles away, but lets wait.
Back to RBR, I reckon Kvyat is on a path back to RBR, with a couple more solid races.
I thought the reason for not moving Kvyat over was to see what happens when they were racing head to head. I am not sure what they have seen from that but certainly they had like 1.5 hours of data to compare!
Still the start determines the end result. But let's see.
It appears that Merc ~ AMRB > F - would like to see some racing between the top 3 :)

Normally the sister (and weaker) car is moved over. IMHO its to test Gasly to see if he is any good, and Kvyat to see if his known speed is now matched by a better race brain. 1. Kvyat proved his worth. 2. Gasly proved he is nothing special. Ill bet money Kvyat will be Max's teammate this season, Summer break.
I'm not convinced Ferrari are anywhere close. I know a lot thought Vettel threw it away last year, but I feel Mercedes could have just upped the engine limits should that have ever been an issue.
Story this year looks to be Bottas vs Hamilton, with Red Bull a comfortable 3/4th. Impressive to see a Honda that competitive, so feel for McLaren signing up to be their 3 year testing guinea pigs.
Am just hoping Daniel Ricciardo has a long term arrangement in place for a move to a more competitive team in a year or so.
Fastest lap of the race is a fun initiative, but again it seems to be the old formula of race, preserve tyres for 50% of the race and then unleash it in the last 10 laps at the end.
Interesting racing further down in the top 10 points positions, and we enjoy that whilst Mercedes win the races.
Man reading this back it seems negative as, but after the bonus of today's race for free it did little to make me want to actually pay good money to see a season of Mercedes yet again.
The fastest lap will be funny when someone scoring big points ends up in the wall chasing it, or pits then has a bad pitstop. :-)
I feel Bottas will go big time every race. Im not sure if Mercedes will be that happy as they want Hamilton to win another title, so watch this space. They would do well to leave them to it. but the enticement is breaking records, MSC's records.
A nice read, and on topic, plenty of F1 influence here

Yeah I heard a few of them asking about it. It's good cos it pulls at the Drivers ego to get the points, of which they may make a mistake and close up the racing.

I'm surprised Leclerc didn't come in for a new set of tires, he wasn't allowed to pass Vettel and had 35 seconds back to the guy behind him. Could have had a crack for the extra point and not lost a place.
I am here just to laugh at Gasly for being unable to pass Kvyat on fresher, softer tyres.
Ahahahahahahhaahahhahahhah how's that working out for you, Marko?
On a totally unrelated note, Brendon Hartley double-podiumed at Sebring.
