@Handle9

Yea they picked the team real early but they had time to make adjustments if they wanted to. I think the last day to pick the final 15 was near the end of the warm-ups. So they could have still pick Latham if they wanted to.

Riiiiight. Knee jerk reactions aren’t NZs style, you might have noticed.

I’ve asked you before not to tag me in replies. It’s obnoxious and unnecessary. Please stop.

Does anyone know what time the on Demand Reply of the game will be available on the SkyGo app?

I can see the linear replay starts at 8 am but say the game finishes at 6am will the replay be available soon after that, does any one have any experience with this from watching recent games?

Very nervous, a weak batting lineup again. But Guptil hits a boundary.

And this is where one of my fears is, Mitchell gets out and Williamson just sucks up way too many dot balls. Will miss Conway in this sort of situation. But also the depth, Santner at #7 needs to be down at #8 and drop one of the swing bowlers.

Got off to a great start but this is getting bad, be lucky to get 130 at this rate.

edit: finally, Williamson gets a pie and puts it away. And another, 2 boundaries first in 38 deliveries, 30 dot balls. But Williamson nearly back to Sr100 from 50.

I think 160 is par on this wicket, not 180 like everyone was saying.

I hope 160 is enough cause I don’t think they will be getting 180 or more at this rate

No chance now of 180. Cant even see them getting to 160, only got close to that last game due to Michell who is gone and no Conway. I think we needed another pinch hitter.

23 off first 3 over then we get 57 off 10, have totally choked with Williamson coming in. To be fair hes never had a great t20 SR so cant really put it all on him, maybe should have put Phillips at 3. But id like to have seen Jamieson who is our best batting all rounder come in as a pinch hitter, really the only player we have regardless of his start to bowling in t20i.

edit: lol Williamson full toss and through the fielders hands for 4. then the next for 4, then another beamer for 4 and  free hit, nearly goes for another 4. 19 off the over.

Well that changes things, another over like that and 160 is back on. Williamson got lucky there, but he took it too them.

Oh no Guppy gone...... will NZ stall again.

To be fair it was getting to the point of hit out or get out for both Guppy and Williamson. Nearly 2 wickets. Could be blessing in disguse if Phillips gets going.

lol Williamson a one handed slap for 6, so much for a slow SR player. He must want another trophy. now at SR150

oh wow follows up with another. thats like 40 off 13 balls or something nuts.

King Kane playing outside of his personality here now. Those two overs have changed the game, 180 is back on, 8 wickets and 7 overs left.

There we go, when Phillips hits 6s they look effortless. Number one 6 hitter in the world at the moment. So why nurdle the next one which was here to be hit for 6, he nearly got out missing the ball. Hes much better player when he just plays the ball for a boundary regardless of the teams situation.

Oh here he goes.

Edit: 7.60 RPO with 8 wickets left, 5 overs, surely has to go for 70ish. NZ have doubled their 10 over score in 5 overs lol. Williamson the KING hitter. They have to hit out now, but try to time the semi bad balls and just singles on the very good balls. Kane, hes going for it. Glorious.

Willy 4 4 6 . 4 4 lol

Hes broken 3 records with this innings. To think how he was struggling so badly at the start and choking the NZ start, now hes seeing weather baloons

Hazlewood been incredible for Aus. Choked Phillips. Looking like ~170 now if the next batsman can feed can while they get going, I hope we dont choke all together. Nesham and Seifert both big hitters.

Oh Williamson a 4 straight away, hes on for 100 here.

Edit: Oh dear, NZ choking at the death. Willy out, but blimmin brilliant after being dropped on 17, 85/48.

Need Jimmy to take it home, if not Seifert and Santner can hit a big ball when he plays with intent.

170imo is competitive.

Hazlewood thank goodness bowls out, 3/16

They had a small chance at getting to 188 but Williamson out it’s not possible unless Neesham and Siefert get going and score 4’s and 6’s.

Cant afford to choke here. Santner can hit 6s when he plays out of his head and in the game. 170 is a must

NZ scored 172 runs. Aus should win this as par on this pitch is 180+ still. NZ needed to score at least 190+ to be safe.

Bit of a choke that last over, Starc bowling wide, one imo should have been called wide (one down leg was).

173 to win, probably 20 short imo with Aus batting power, Im Stoinois down the line, they just have massive SR hitters.

I think NZ prob hit par at 170, Hazlewood just made it look harder than it was.

Just bowl wide and full, nothing in the pocket. Eeeek how do you stop Aus, no swing. Milne is our go to t20 bowler. Santner and Sodhi will be key too.

Aus need to score the highest score in a WC final to win. I think its 60:40 to Aus, but at least NZ got to the 170 and have given themselves a chance. Aus could collapse and 172 will look massive. Or they could slap 120 in the first 10 overs. EEEEK. Cmon Willy, bring iit home.

140 from 15 overs from NZ, thats insane, 110 from final 10.

Wow Boult, much better than vs Eng, continuing on being NZs best bowler this Tourn, that was nearly 1/1 from 1st over.

Well you take one over away and now it does become 9rpo, strangle them for 5 overs and that run rate will get very hard.
